Four Weeks of Elizabeth Joy

She looked so tiny when we brought her home ❤️ I wasn’t sure how she was going to hold her own against 3 energetic siblings.
I needn’t have worried. She is so loved by everyone here. Some are more gentle than others, but she’s not had any sibling inflicted injuries. Yet.
She peacefully sleeps through the chaos that is life around here. In fact she seems to prefer the noise. If I put her in our quiet bedroom to sleep during the day, much screaming ensues.

Even when rudely plunked into her rocker by her big sister, she remains calm. Just scowls a little and deals with it:)

Big sister has turned the cedar chest in her room into a diaper changing area. Now I have competition in discovering diapers that need changing, and doing so. No complaints here.
Today she’s 4 weeks old. Her smiles are totally melting us.

I didn’t take a “proper” picture to chronicle the fact that she was one, two, three, and then four weeks old, so these pictures from her first four weeks of life will have to do. (It gets harder to remember these things when there are other little ones, each with their own little needs.) Anna Grace was full of plans to dress her up and get pictures today, but Mommy thought school and chores were more important, and somehow time just flew by.

I’m trying to take time to enjoy her, because I know that this baby stage flies by so fast and soon she’ll be running around with her siblings, and we’ll be wondering where the time went.

(She continues to be an extremely happy baby, so enjoying her isn’t a bit difficult) Thats what we’ve been doing full time over here. 🙂 Happy Weekend ❤️
