Look who came to stay at our house!
Our little lady was born September 28, in the middle of a thunderstorm. She weighed 7 lb 14 oz, measured 19 inches long, and she’s doing great! Cory named her Ruth Allison, after his grandmothers, Ruth and Alice. The children are already calling her Ruthie, so I think that may be what we end up calling her too 🙂
I tried to post earlier, but there was a glitch with my WordPress app, and after trying to load the post for three days, it finally deleted, so now I’m starting over. I don’t have much time for writing today, but I’ll include some pictures.
I think she has more hair than any of my children yet. She is a very content baby. Mostly just eats and sleeps.
I think you can see that her siblings love her, and I know she’s going to love them too, in spite of what her face is saying in this picture. 👆🏻
Adjustments are going ok…I think. Poor Oliver has been sick with some fever/croup bug, that has him extra needy, on top of being bumped out of the baby position… I’m not going to pretend it’s been seamless. But we are blessed with friends and family who have been here for us, helping out with food, watching the older children, etc. Thanks to them, I’d say we’re doing great!
If you come to see us, don’t expect us to be all “put-together,” prim and proper.
What you’ll find, is a very lived in house, a slightly germaphobic Papa bear, armed with hand sanitizer, a mommy that looks a little washed out and probably needs her hair combed, and some wild children running around. Don’t let us scare you away. Come in and sit awhile, drink some tea or coffee, and meet our little princess.
She’s the most put-together person in the house.
Love it, Jeanette! I wish I could pop in and snuggle your wee one, and enjoy the happy chaos 😊❤️!

Ahh that would be sweetness. I guess we’ll have to settle for sitting in our houses, halfway across the world from each other, and separately drinking coffee and eating coconut white chocolate for old times sake 🙂 ❤️
